Parameter Guide
Understanding DeeTing audio processing parameters
Mode vs EQ Preset
Mode (top dropdown) — A complete parameter snapshot including scene, gain style, smoothing, noise processing mode, and the full 5-band EQ curve. Switch modes to load entirely different configurations.
EQ Preset (inside EQ area) — Stores only the 5-band EQ curve. A quick way to fill slider positions without affecting other parameters.
Each mode contains its own EQ data. Changes to EQ within a mode are saved with that mode.
Pre-Noise vs EQ
Signal chain: Input → Pre-Noise → DL Denoise → WDRC → 5-Band EQ → Output
Pre-Noise acts before the deep learning denoiser. Options:
- Road — Low shelf filter + crest reduction. Good for consistent background noise.
- Crest — Crest reduction only. Targets transient peaks.
- Combined — Both Road and Crest. Most thorough but may lose more low-end.
- Off — No pre-processing.
EQ (5 sliders) acts after all other processing. Independent L/R channel control.
Suggested order: Try Combined + low shelf filter first when in doubt.
Gain Styles
- Quiet — Minimal amplification
- Elegant — Gentle, natural sound
- Bold — Moderate boost
- Loud — Strong amplification
- Power — Maximum output
Smoothing & Feedback
Smoothing controls how quickly gain changes respond. Faster = clearer but may cause pumping. Slower = more natural.
Feedback Suppression reduces whistling. Recommended for in-ear monitors.
Export & Share
Export a mode as text via the clipboard. The exported string can be shared or imported on another device. Visit deeting.org for community configurations.
Reset
If sound becomes abnormal, use the reset function (long-press the logo or tap the reset button). This restarts the optimization algorithm without changing your saved parameters.
